BTSA

Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction is a state-funded program designed to support professional development of beginning teachers and fulfill the induction requirements for a Professional Clear Credential. BTSA programs serve approximately 23,000 first and second year teachers.

 

Our two-year Induction program includes:

  • A support provider to work with each participating teacher
  • Differentiated support and formative assessment for eligible Preliminary Credential teachers.

 

BTSA Induction helps teachers:

  • Engage in long term planning of curriculum and instruction
  • Reflect on their practice
  • Make sound instructional decisions
  • Increase student learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues
  • Develop as a professional educator
